15 Oct 2002 - Look out in the next few weeks for the LIVE DOUBLE ALBUM culled from the PHENOBARB BAMBALAM TOUR -- this was originally going to come out on WaxTrax as "Rock'n'roll Amphibian" in 1992, but the recording quality was not deemed good enough. The quality is still pretty good, it's a DAT recording from the sound board, and it includes the ENTIRE set with a full band lineup, the disc is 75 minutes and includes gems from "Whiplash," "Phenobarb," as well as covers of John Cale's "Chicken shit," Alice Cooper's "Desperado," and Neil Young's "Fuckin' up"... stay tuned for details...
No further mention was made of the album and it never saw an actual release. Chris has said that it was later planned to be paired with a recording of a gig in Houston 2001 and called "10 Years Apart". Still later, he planned on adding some of the tracks to the 2005 compilation "Lounge Ax, Bottle, Elsewhere", but decided the recordings weren't high enough quality to see release.
